You can tell it’s Christmas when Santa and the Grinch arrive. While we usually do buoudoir and nude photos, this is a whole new thing.
Our body painters create complete characters. These three are a perfect example. Usually, our studio is the home of boudoir photographs and nude photography but we also have body painting as an add-on to a session.
These characters were a total transformation!
A sludge of ice-cold, blue blood flows through the Grinch’s veins. A cold heart encased in black stone keeps the Grinch mean. Everyone should be as unhappy as this sad soul. Stealing joy and presents.
Yet, we know how this ends. The stolen joy and messages of hope all sneak into the Grinch’s heart. Until, filled with revelation and redemption, the black heart bursts, cold stone shatters . . . the warm glow of joy floods into those cold blue veins until not a trace of meanness can be found.
Now this Santa artwork is more of a sexy Mrs. Claus or perhaps a frisky Santa’s helper. We were really not too sure! Neither was the artist. She declared that it is open to interpretation.
We think she is “dressed” more for sitting around the fireplace than riding the sleigh on a cold winter night.
Or perhaps she is dressed to help Santa deliver toys to the good girls and boys in the Caribbean.
Maybe this is Mrs. Claus, ready for the day after Christmas deliveries…
What is your interpretation? That is the intrigue of body painting; what do you imagine the story to be?
For our painters, Christmas is always touched by Disney. So, Mickey and Pluto combined with candy canes and garland became our client, Jenn’s, body painting. Jenn loved this, free spirit that she is.
She looks a bit like a festive store window painting that came to life.
Christmas and body painting are a natural combination for the season and make a unique and one-of-a-kind gift. Be bold and become someone or something different this season!
Of course, the last word comes from The Grinch, Have a great Christmas!
